I told you this video was coming on Thursday. It came out today, five days late.

In 2018, a few months after my first time in Peru, I went to a college in England to study mediumship. I wanted someone wiser to explain what had just happened to me. I've been in that world close to eight years. It gave me a lot, and I still love what it showed me.

But a reading usually works like this. A living person comes with a question about their own life, and the answer arrives as a message from someone who has died.

One day I asked myself why I needed the go-between. The person in front of me is alive. I'd rather work with them directly and ask the only question I care about:
how are you today?

That's why I left. I went back to the plants, because they gave me myself.

Most people I meet have done a version of this for years. They ask the reader, the coach, the retreat, the next book to tell them what's going on inside them. I did it too, for over thirty years, through more readings than I can count.

Nobody can read that part to you. Other people can sit with you. A friend can hold your hand at 2 a.m. They can't open it for you.

So this week, skip the go-between. Ask yourself the plain question, the way a friend would: how are you today? Then wait until the real answer comes, after the polite one.
