Somewhere near you there's a person who was going to open a bakery. The recipes are ready. They know the street. They're still looking for the oven, the one with the perfect button, and three years later there's no bakery.
I know that person. I was that person for eight years.
In 2018 I found out what my life was for. I won't retell it here. It's in the video, told straight. What I'll tell you is what I did next: I went to college to study something else. I learned to trade. I built businesses. I set up a practice for other people. I said out loud, more than once, "I think I'm delaying a greater purpose in my life," and then I signed up for one more thing.
For years I believed I was avoiding it. I don't believe that anymore.
It's not that I was afraid. It takes time to accept what you've been shown. The college, the trading, the businesses were the accepting, done the slow way. Each one taught me what I wasn't. When there was nothing left to try, what remained was the thing I'd been told in 2018.
So if you've built the life and you're still not happy, and there's something you keep researching instead of starting, I'm not going to tell you you're scared. Maybe you're not ready to accept it yet. That's allowed. It took me eight years.
But watch for the oven. The day the preparation becomes the thing you do instead of the thing, you'll know. It will never be perfect. You have to start with something.
