Dear friends,

A week ago I wrote to you that I was turning toward the thing that's actually been my whole life. That the story was coming.

It's here.

I finally sat down and told the whole thing, from the very beginning. Where I came from — a barefoot kid in rural Romania. The years where I had everything that's supposed to make you happy and was emptier than I'd ever been. A night I sat alone in the dark and genuinely asked if it was worth living anymore. And then Peru, where I met myself. Truly.

I'd never told it all the way through before. It's the most honest thing I've made.

A small heads-up, the same one I gave my friends: it goes to some dark places before it gets to the light. If today isn't the day for that, no hard feelings.

But I want to share one more thing with you, because it's been sitting on my chest all week.

The other morning I was scrolling, and I saw it again — all the wisdom. From the masters, the teachers, the monks, the gurus, the shamans, the entertainers. Beautiful quotes. Real truths. And I thought, honestly, it's beautiful. There's genuine wisdom out there.

But here's what I've come to feel: we are not lacking this. We are drowning in it.

I can listen to the most beautiful teaching on a morning, and it puts me in a lovely state. I like the vision. I like the hope. And then the day comes, and there's a real fear — a lack of money, a Monday I'm not sure about — and the chanting is gone, and the fear is still right there where I left it.

I think there's a quiet pandemic of teaching, and a real scarcity of people who actually do something with it. Not because anyone is lazy. Because the whole machine is built to make you consume the next thing, and feel good for an afternoon, and come back tomorrow for another hit. The point was never just to consume it. The point was to integrate it — to take the one tool you actually need today and use it to heal something, or build something, or get through something.

That's the difference I keep coming back to. Not more wisdom. A truer compass for which piece of it you actually need, right now, in your real life.

That's the work I care about now. Not handing you one more beautiful thing to nod at. Walking with you while you put down something real — and graduate. Because the whole point was never for you to need me. It's for you to not — and then come back sometimes, as friends, with laughter.

I didn't write a speech for this. I'm still finding my own compass, same as you are with yours. But I wanted you to have the story, and this one thought, on the same morning.

The Holistic continues. With a focus on Peru.

Your friend in this,
C.
